The FHB guide: Work trousers

Some people are looking for lightweight trousers for the warmer months, while for others robustness and knee pockets are particularly important. Some want them tighter, while others prefer a looser cut. Find the perfect work trousers with the right fit and features for you and your work. We’ll show you how our work trousers differ and what you should look out for.

Material

Do you prefer light or heavy fabrics? In what temperatures will you be wearing the trousers? Are you looking for trousers for the summer or for use in warm, high-temperature factory halls? Or trousers that you can wear all year round or robust trousers that can withstand the toughest conditions? This is largely determined by the fabric used, the weight of the fabric and the construction of the trousers.

Elasticated fabric

To ensure that you can move freely even with trousers cut close to the body, some work trousers use an elasticated fabric as the outer material that can stretch in all directions.

Colours

Is there a colour that you would like to dress your entire company in? But the assembly team has completely different workwear requirements in winter than the office team? Or do you offer different trades and need a fixed combination in several colours? Olive for the gardeners, white for the painters, navy for the electricians, anthracite for the caretakers and beige for the drywallers? No problem. Our colour concept offers you all the options you need to dress in a colour that suits you and your company. Good, right?

Fit

Which fit do you prefer? Rather slim or slightly wider cut?

Close-fitting work trousers are pre-shaped for optimum freedom of movement. What does pre-shaped mean? The cut is ergonomically optimised according to the contours and natural movements of the body without being too tight. There is enough room for air to circulate between the body and the garment.

There are also the still very popular classics, with a particularly loose fit and a straight cut from the thighs to the ankles.

Rather narrow and pre-shaped cut:

Leo (elasticated), Mio (elasticated), Florian, Alma, Werner, Fabian work trousers. Dungarees Pascal. Work shorts Kim (elasticated), Wulf, Annika.

Rather wide and straight cut:

Bruno, Wilhelm, Torge work trousers. Dungarees Eckhard. Theo work shorts.

Functions

Durable knee pockets

Do you do a lot of kneeling work? Our work trousers with knee pockets fulfil the requirements of "Knee protection for work in a kneeling position" type 2, performance level 1 in accordance with DIN EN 14404:2004+A1:2010 in combination with the FHB Caspar knee pads certified for this purpose. The knee pockets differ in terms of material (Cordura or outer material) and whether the insertion is from above or below.

Size

We have 40 trouser sizes to choose from, from small to super large. We don’t do this to make it unnecessarily difficult for you. We want to make sure that your work trousers fit. Whether you have long or short legs, more or less belly, it doesn’t matter – your size is included!

Work trousers that fit perfectly not only look better, they also have functional benefits. For example, if they’re too long or too wide, the knee pads won’t stay in the right position when you’re working on your knees.

We offer our work trousers in three crotch lengths: normal, short and long, in sizes 42-66 / 84-114 / 23-30.

Bruno, Eckhard and Theo are also available in super-large sizes up to 74 and 35 respectively. All sizes are available from stock as standard. This means no waiting times and the following applies: all sizes – one price.
