The traditional Zwirn-Doppelpilot fabric is particularly robust and has a high abrasion resistance. This is due to the combination of dense weave, strong twisted yarn and roughened inside.
The smooth 100% cotton fabric is also comfortable to wear in summer as it is breathable and absorbs moisture.

Robust, durable material with tradition. Canvas is a hard-wearing fabric whose origins date back to the 13th century. Even back then, canvas was used for maritime applications, especially for sails, tents and tarpaulins. Thanks to its dense woven structure and exceptional strength, canvas is still the fabric of choice for demanding applications today. Canvas is perfect for outdoor work.
German leather

Weight class: super heavyweight.
The giant among guild fabrics. Deutschleder is probably the best cheat pack of all textiles: strong and firm like leather and yet “only” made of cotton. And 100% cotton. German leather was literally born out of necessity: At the time of industrialisation, the English developed the predecessor fabric, “English leather”, to protect workers at the blast furnaces from flying sparks (and incidentally to save on the much more expensive cowhide aprons).
The Germans went one better and further developed the leather substitute. The result was a particularly strong fabric with unusually strong warp yarns and a high density of weft yarns – German leather was born. It is characterised by a smooth, slightly shiny exterior and a roughened interior. German leather is almost indestructible and really heavy at a whopping 600 grams per square metre. A real giant.
Only in the washing machine does it shrink: due to the type of weave, German leather shrinks in width by around two centimetres.
