French Terry, also known as "summer sweat", is a fabric with a unique structure. It is made from a blend of cotton and polyester to combine the positive properties of these two materials. Cotton is known for its softness and breathability, while polyester is hard-wearing and durable. The combination of these fibers creates a fabric that also has a positive effect on shrinkage. French terry is characterized by a smooth surface on the front. On the inside on the other hand, the fabric has a characteristic looped look without being roughened. As a result, it offers high breathability, a slightly elastic structure and a comfortable feel.
